Dining Outback for Kids

Open Inn’s Third Annual Dining Outback for Kids raised $5,500 to support the Cochise County Children’s Center!

On Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 the Sierra Vista Outback Steakhouse sponsored Open Inn’s Third Annual Dining Outback for Kids benefiting the Cochise County Children’s Center.   Additional sponsorship was provided by Kelly’s Transmission and Walker Rest Ranch.

The event was a great success thanks to our committed volunteers and the participation of 210 community leaders, partners and friends of the Children’s Center!  The afternoon provided an opportunity to enjoy a delicious Outback Steakhouse meal, participate in the festive Dining Outback for Kids Raffle, and all while raising money for programs for homeless and at-risk children, youth and families at Open Inn’s Cochise County Children’s Center.

The event would not have been possible without the gracious support of Michael Cieszinski, owner of the Sierra Vista Outback Steakhouse, and his entire team.  Outback Steakhouse generously donated the food and service provided on October 19th so that 100% of your ticket could benefit the Center! Many thanks to the dedicated volunteers, advertising sponsors, civic leaders, and the auction sponsors who contributed to the success of the Third Annual Dining Outback for Kids.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Sierra Vista Community for coming out and showing your support of the Center!

The Cochise County Children’s Center has provided outreach, Project Safe Place, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, independent living skills classes, and transitional housing for runaway, homeless, and at-risk children and youth since 1981.  We are Southeastern Arizona’s only non-profit organization providing these vital programs to unaccompanied children and youth in the area.
