Dining Outback for Kids 2009 Raises $5,350 for Open Inn’s Cochise County Children’s Center

Thank you Outback Steakhouse!

On May 6, the Sierra Vista Outback Steakhouse raised $5,350 for Open Inn’s Cochise County Children’s Center.  The first Dining Outback For Kids event was a huge success with approximately 195 community leaders and friends of the Children’s Center filling the Sierra Vista Outback Steakhouse for nearly 2 hours!

Many thanks to Michael Cieszinski and the entire team at the Sierra Vista Outback Steakhouse for generously donating 100% of their delicious food and time for this event!  And thanks to the extraordinary volunteers, advertising sponsors, civic leaders, and Dining Outback for Kids Raffle contributors who helped make this event a success!  Most importantly, thank you to the Sierra Vista community, for coming out and supporting the Children’s Center’s vital programs for youth and families in Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz Counties!

The Cochise County Children’s Center has provided outreach, Project Safe Place, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, independent living skills classes, and transitional housing for runaway, homeless, and at-risk children and youth since 1981.  We are Southeastern Arizona’s only non-profit organization providing these vital programs to unaccompanied children and youth in the area.
